FORMAT FOR THE I-CReST 2020 VIRTUAL CONFERENCE
The conference is still set to take place during its originally planned date, i.e. 4th July 2020 using Google Meet platform. The organising committee will provide the tentative schedule on details of the opening ceremony, slots for the plenary and keynote speakers, and parallel sessions. Presenters must check for the latest tentative and be prepared for their respective slots. The tentative of the conference will be made available on the website icrest2020.weebly.com starting from 29 June 2020. The description below is how we expect the virtual conference to work, and this will be updated from time to time.
- Live streaming: There will be live sessions that allow participants to communicate directly with the distinguished plenary, keynote and local and international invited speakers, as well as industrial players to discover new contents.
- Most of the conference materials will consist of pre-recorded videos. There will be live Q&A sessions with all the speakers and presenters through which the authors will be available to discuss their work over the virtual platform.
- The conference will also encourage asynchronous communication, where everyone can continue discussions using chat stream, or leave questions and comments in the comment section.
- Time zones and maximum accessibility. As an international conference, we strive to accommodate as many time zones as possible to avoid reliance on high-bandwidth Internet connections. Thus, we will ensure that the videos are not downloadable for copyrights and consent reasons, and these can be viewed only during the assigned slot. There will be a chat column (Google Meet) for the participants to post questions and comments during the session.
